The Alumni Association provides advice and guidance to it's members in the following areas:

TGA Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cth)

The Alumni Association of Natural Medicine Practitioners Inc is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld) and cited at Item 26A of Schedule 1 of the Therapeutic Goods Regulations 1990, Statutory Rules 1990, No. 394 (as amended) made under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cth).

GST and Natural Health Practitioners

A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999. As a schedule 1 body, Alumni Association members can be considered as 'recognised professionals' for the purposes of GST relief under relevant Australian Taxation Legislation, namely, paragraph 38-1-(1)(b).

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Professional Indemnity Insurance quotations (Para-Medical Health Practitioners - Combined malpractice, public & products liability insurance) for Alumni members can be obtained from Aon Professional Services, Brisbane, Queensland. Policy underwritten by Royal and SunAlliance Australia Limited.

Health Funds

Following are some of the Health Funds that recognise the Alumni Association and who receive electronic data each month with updates. There are other Health Funds who recognise us who do not however require an electronic database.
All health funds need to be contacted either in person, by email or internet, by phone or by mail by each practitioner to obtain a Provider Number.

Manchester Unity, Australian Unity and Credicare all recognise the Association as do many other funds. These however do not require the electronic database. They require proof of membership from the practitioner.

For information that you may provide:

• Information about you will be safe-guarded at all times
• If you do provide us with any personal information relating to yourself, whether by email, application form or other medium, that information will only be kept for association purposes.

Disclosure of Information:

• The Alumni Association will not knowingly disclose or provide any personal details unless required by law.
